SvaraRaderaAnswer: Ivory is the teeth of elephants. It´s part of the elephant bones.
The elephant was not shot but how did it die?
Answer: The elephants was shot by an poisons arrow. Probably by someone that knew how to shoot.
What was the strategy to get people to notice the ivory problem?
Answer: They focused on banning the ivory trade and the Kenyan government burned ivory they confiscated from the poachers and burned it on tv. This made people understand that killing elephants for ivory that was a big problem.
How much is the ivory per kilo now?
Answer: Today it´s 1000 dollars per kilo.
They found tons of ivory in three countries, which ones?
Answer: Thailand (Bangkok), the Philippines (Manila) and Vietnam.
What do you think poaching means?
Answer: It´s basically illegal hunting. The elephants are being killed by international criminals organizations.
How did the caretakers know that there was something strange going on in the national park?
Answer: The caretakers in the national park noticed elephants were missing and they found cadavers of dead elephants in the national park.
